  • Are you Tesla Certified Installers?
Yes, we are Tesla Certified Installers, a designation we've held since our launch in 2021. Our team’s expertise ensures that your Powerwall installation is done to the highest standards.
  • Do I need planning permission to install a Tesla Powerwall?
Typically, solar and battery installations fall under permitted development rights and don’t require planning permission. However, if you live in a conservation area or a listed building, we recommend consulting your local council before requesting a quote.
  • Will I need National Grid approval to connect my Tesla Powerwall 3?
Given the Powerwall’s high capacity, a G99 application to connect to the grid is likely required, with SSEN deciding the allowable export limit. We will handle this application on your behalf, making the process seamless.
  • What warranty comes with the Tesla Powerwall 3?
The Tesla Powerwall 3 offers a warranty dependent on internet connectivity. A consistent internet connection for remote firmware upgrades is necessary for the full 10-year warranty. If the connection is interrupted long-term, the warranty may be limited to 4 years. Full warranty details are available in the Tesla Powerwall Warranty document on Tesla’s support website.
  • Where is the best location to install a Tesla Powerwall 3?
During our site visit, we’ll advise on the ideal location for installation. The Powerwall’s advanced heating and cooling system allows it to be installed indoors or outdoors, even performing at temperatures as low as -20°C. For perspective, it uses less energy in Heat Mode than a computer monitor would for three hours.
  • Can I relocate the Tesla Powerwall if I move?
Yes! The Powerwall can be moved to a new property without impacting its warranty, and we are happy to assist with the relocation process.
  • Is the Tesla Powerwall 3 compatible with existing solar systems?
Absolutely. The Powerwall 3 includes a built-in solar inverter with a 20 kW capacity and can integrate with your existing solar setup or even replace your current inverter if needed.
  • Can the Tesla Powerwall 3 operate without a solar system?
Yes, the Powerwall 3 can be installed as an AC-coupled battery, meaning it doesn’t require solar. Many customers take advantage of off-peak electricity tariffs to charge the Powerwall at lower rates and use it when prices are higher, maximizing cost savings.
  • Does the Tesla Powerwall provide backup power during outages?
Yes, the Powerwall offers a reliable backup option capable of powering your entire home during outages. This feature isn’t standard in our installations but can be added at an additional cost.
  • How can I monitor my battery system?
Powerwall installations includes an app for easy system monitoring and control. You can view status updates, set up smart charging tariffs, and track usage. If you need help with setup, we can assist remotely.
  • What kind of workmanship warranty do you provide?
We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty on all our installations, as required by the RECC. This covers any installation-related issues, though we maintain high standards to ensure peace of mind.
  • How long does a typical installation take?
Installing a Tesla Powerwall can take as little as one day, though the duration varies based on cable complexity and the condition of the property’s electrical setup.
